So Many Religious Prisoners by Jordan Paige

Has anyone ever wondered why there’s sooo many religious prisoners right now? I did. 

As a nigga doing excessive time, I knew that life can put, or, allow you 2 be put in situations that’ll leave you no choice but 2 call upon something greater than yourself. Even if you don’t believe it. You’ll try it! The pressure will make you. Literally.

I ask myself… why do so many of us wait until we are in a “jam”, down & out dr, just simply in need 2 start thinking about God & his purpose. Is there? If so. What is it? Does it have 2 be what one particular religion says, or are there may paths that lead 2 this same thing? How do we know?

My opinion is that there is a God, creator, who created all things, their intelligence, nature, or behavior. I think the purpose 4 everything is 2 exist & effect other than G’s that exists! Positively, of course. So, I think that situations we experience are 2 remind us of that. Even if they are consequences or cause & effect. There’s a gratitude or lesson out of that experience. Feel me? I don’t think there’s 1 way of seeing this main idea, but I most definitely believe it is based on peaceful lifestyles & prosperous results!

 One thing about it is, if my actions cause harm 2 someone else then, that’s not beneficial 4 them. Vice/versa. As a man who has hurt everything around me, I’ve realized that It doesn’t feel good when the effects of that pain comes back full circle! Literally! Doing time has made me recognize the fact that, there’s consequences & reactions 2 what I do in life 2, whether I wanna accept that or not. So, If I don’t wanna experience them, then, I’ve gotta be mindful of what I do because of that! We’re all familiar with doing what we gotta do, &, as a man… I know that a “mans gotta do what a man’s gotta do.” Literally!

This is the reason I think everybody’s getting so religious now. We are all searching 4 an inner peace we haven’t provided ourselves. Our society reflects that. Our lifestyle proves it! Our biggest struggle has been living that out. Life’s principles have existed b4 us. So, life is constituted a certain way. Who created that way is who we’re returning 2 — God!
