KeymasterWhat’s the worst thing that you’ve ever done? Just recently, I watched a televised interview with one of the justices of the Supreme Court who said that the United States has way to many laws! So, many in fact, that every person in the U.S. has committed at least one (most two) felony offense every day. That’s 365 felonies every year for each person. And, in psychology and criminology, that makes everyone a true psychopath.People are always the hero of their own stories. They write, tell, or share things that don’t make themselves look bad or want others to find out about. Some, even believe that they are better then everyone else. However, if this fact is true like the justice said, then everyone is a criminal.
So, what’s the worst thing that you’ve ever done? For me, you might think that it was the crimes that I did that handed me a quasi-life sentence, and that would be true. But, what about the little things that I did that made my choice of committing my crimes easier? Those things that I didn’t get caught like staying past curfew, drinking at the age of 8, shoplifting at 9, smoking cigarettes at 10, stealing my father’s pot and experimenting with drugs and alcohol, and not following rules in school, or listening to my father. Just doing what I wanted to do. Or, what about my parents divorce at age 10, me being abused and learning to abuse others, or moving 25 times, or me being abandoned as a kid and teen? Because, no one just starts off stealing, burglarizing, or raping.
So, the worst thing that I’ve ever did was not being the brother and son that I should’ve been. If I was the brother and son that I was meant to be, none of my crimes or criminal behavior never would have happened. I wouldn’t have listened to people telling me that I would never amount to anything in life. I never would have taken those steps, each building upward, that made my decisions and choices that made my crimes easier to commit.
Are you on a path that I was on? It will eventually send you to prison. However, you can stop! Start a new path. No matter how hard your life is you matter. No matter how old you are dogs can learn new tricks. If you want people to care about you, all you got to do first is care about others. Become more loving to your family and friends regardless. Visit your parents, cut your neighbors grass, paint your grandparents house, volunteer either at a food bank or senior center. Just volunteer! Get an education. A Gallup poll stated that the happiest time in people’s lives was not getting married or having their first child, but attending high school graduation. So, stay in school or start going to college. You can get a quality free education with Master Class, taking CLEP exams, or just visits your city’s library and the librarians will help you because they really want to help people. Work and build a work history. Remember, no matter how hard your life is there is someone who’s way worse off than you. Ask yourself, do you really care about other people? Today, and looking forward, you can be a force for good. And, you amount to everything that life has to offer you. You truly matter!
So, what’s the worst thing that you’ve ever done?
Respectfully, and caring,
